Currently playing Soul Calibur III. This'll be taking up much of my time.

SO MUCH TO UNLOCK!

Call of Duty 2.

I should be writing essays, but it demands I shoot nazis.

I should be reading technical reports, but it tempts me with promises of liberation.

I'm just glad the single player game is so short, or I'll never get any work done.

Back to the subject of scariness...

If you want to be very very very afraid play through theif 3. Don't look at anything about it online and don't play it when the sun is up. Then when you've gotten through the first 15 minutes in the cradle at 3 o'clock... Tell me you weren't terrified.

And as far as spooky all around you radio chatter try system shock 1 and 2. the graphics are dated but it will make you jump.

I WANT S.T.A.L.K.E.R!!!!! Why is it not out till next year huh.gif mad.gif ohmy.gif

“Come to the edge.”
“We can't. We will fall!”
“Come to the edge.”
And they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.

Remember, be yourself. Unless you suck.

Imitation is the highest form of praise.

Urgh. I only played up to the Cradle then it freaked the hell out of me. I'm gonna have to reinstall and finish it. But that level was truly nightmare fuel.

I've recently downloaded two graphics patches for System Shock 2 that update it. Hi-Res textures, high poly models, should be a lot of fun. I'll install it again as soon as I finish playing X-3. And Civ 4 probably.

P-shaw. There's only ever been one game that's actually scared me. Three words:

Silent Hill 2.

Bitch.

That's more of an alphanumeric sequence than three words, although I guess the same thing could be said about Project Zero! biggrin.gif

Actually, I'm really looking forward to the thrid Project Zero game. The first one is superb, and the second is very good (although perhaps weaker in some aspects), so I'm very interested to see where they go with the third one.

Yes, I thought of that Mata, hence the bitch as more as an afterthought.

And correct me if I'm wrong but Project Zero = Fatal Frame, yes?

Yep, that's the one. It also features some of the most stupid heroines in video game history:

'My brother myteriously disappeared in this mansion... So I think I'll walk in here at night by myself with only a torch for protection, that's a good idea.'

'Oo look, a ghost with the appearence of horrific tortures having wracked its living flesh has gone through that door. I wonder what's in there?'

Heh. True, I suppose, but it's truly rare that you have an intelligent person as your character in a survival horror game; they wittingly go into creepy places and never leave even when they can. The only ones that are actually intelligent are the characters from Resident Evil. It's their job, man.

I've been horribly addicted to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the past week or so.

I brought it almost a year ago but didn't get into it thanks to getting stuck early on, now I'm replaying it I'm finding it a lot more fun. biggrin.gif

Malks are great! I played them far too often when I played the real game a few years back, though.

I'm playing a slightly too intelligent Brujah this time and getting on pretty well.

Got God of War and Sega Superstars in the post. I got so bored of hearing Mata wobble on about how wonderful it was that I finally succumbed. And you know what? He was right. I've therefore eaten my hat.

Mrs. Jonman is currently playing Sega Superstars with a friend not three feet from where I type this. It's rather a good laugh, worth the price of admission for Samba De Amigo alone.

Woo-hoo!

I'm playing Zoo Keeper on the DS. A lot. I see tiny animal faces when I close my eyes.

I had something similar when I was playing Zoocube a lot. Not only was I seeing lots of little animal faces, they were howling, hooting and neighing at me as they flew towards me. It was a bit terrifying.
