Ok, I'm thinking of talking to a smaller record label a local coffee shop to put together an American Idol themed contest, only it would be broadcast on my radio station, and it would include bands and individual singers. Also voting would be done on my message board, therefore ensure accurrecy in voting.

PS I hope I posted this in the right spot, and I'm not over stepping my bounds, I just want the feedback.

This should probably go into Media.

But as to the poll, I suppose I would, though wouldn't it depend on where it's being broadcast from?

I would suggest that there are better things you could fill your air time with....like white noise....or if you're feeling adventurous....pink noise

Why would I listen to it on the radio? I don't watch it on TV!

Radio station around here's already done it. It's called 'American Idiots'. Basically they take suggestions on subjects from callers, put 'em on a big wheel and spin it, then spin the wheel again to decide what genre to sing it too. They pick a song and then write their song to the music.
