It's not got any jokes in it, true, but did anyone like the style?

I thought the style was... well... odd.

I spent the past five minutes staring at my screen just thinking, 'wow'.

There you go, two words. Wow and odd. Not too sure if that's helpful feedback...

I think I prefer your normal style. I like this one, but it's more of a one-shot odd abstract thing. I wouldn't want to see the LGG animations done this way or anything.

That's fair enough, I wouldn't use something this abstract for a story-based animation, at least not without tying it closely into the point of the story. It's really just a movie to play around with some effects. Now I've got a better idea how to use them it means that if I do have the need for a funky special-effect in a 'proper' animation I've got this one available.

I find it helps to experiment with styles. Even doing something odd like this gives you more control over the basics of the package and expands your expressiveness. Doing something very abstract helps you think in new ways about the basics of the visuals you are working with, which always helps you develop as an artist.

I didn't like the thinking man statue all that much, the running man and the urban scenery loop (didn't it used to be your avatar?) worked well...though it would have looked better without the pixelation, pixelation is ugly. unsure.gif

Pixelation is a fact of life when you're trying to keep down the file-size.

The urban background is still my avatar, it's just in black and white on here to keep the file-size tiny.

The pixleation annoyed me becaus eI focused on it, more than just allowing myself to watch the video. But I likes the squigly man and how he carried himself. And I liked those stringy thingies with the colours, I liked what they did and how they danced.

Just one, small problem... The music. Have you ever though of making a video to a disco song? See, I like a bit of disco, me tongue.gif biggrin.gif

I loved the style of the running man. The way the lines all moved together to form a human although it wasn't. That doesn't make any sense. Anyhow, I loved the style.

I've always liked drawing the human figure with the least possible number of lines. It's actually perfectly possible to indicate emotions and posture of a whole body with only one line. Obviously, I needed more for the effect in this animation, but even here there were probably only one or two dozen. Equally, there were only 12 individual parts of the body that were animated, but the sparse styling allowed the viewer to add their own details in to the loop, literally fleshing it out.

Same here. The running guy was the best part of it for me.

While we're on the subject, I can't see them again. I did for a while, then i sometimes saw them, now I see none on the forum or by the animations.

When you do see the banners, do you see the ones for Sky? Those are the ones targetted at the UK. Some UK people have US IP addresses (such as Hobbes) so he sees US adverts. If you're in the same position it might be that something on your machine is automatically clipping out banners from certain US servers. If you see the UK ones imtermittently then I've no bloomin' idea what's causing that!

I saw a lot of iTunes adverts, some Sky ones and some Ask Jeeves ones. That's it as far as I can remember. Otherwise I just get the 'Click here' text.
