Farewell

Robert Jordan, real name James Oliver Rigney, Jr, has passed away as a result of his long term illness.

For those who don't know him he wrote many of the Conan novels, but he is more famously known for his Wheel of Time series.

Personally, I feel the Wheel of Time series are some of the best books I have been fortunate enough to read.

Rest in peace.

Oh man, that's terrible.

I ordered Knife of Dreams only a few days ago, thinking I needed to catch up with the Wheel of Time. I've read through all the books up to it at least twice. Damn, he will be missed.

I haven't heard of anything by him, but any death is bad. I like reading, so I look forward to reading a few of his books if I have the time, which I most likely will.

Strangely, I've recently downloaded the Conan books and was planning to go through them soon. Odd timing. He had a lot of very dedicated fans, I'm sure he'll be pleased to have bought so much enjoyment to so many people.

Yep, I'm certainly upset by this. I thoroughly enjoy his works.

There was a quote from him, something along the lines of "If I don't finish the last book (referring to Wheel of Time) before I die, fans have threatened to desecrate my grave." strange since he didn't finish the last in the series.

The next time the Wheel spins him out into the Pattern I'll give him a wedgie with Balefire...
