I'm making a piece of art for my end of year. Would appreciate you's lot's input, coz you are an interesting bunch happy.gif

You can be as general, specific, concise or long winded as you want, immediate/ short/ mid/ long term. You can repeat words/ phrases/ themes for each. If you'd rather, you can PM me with the answers.

What do you consider to be:

1) Basic human needs;

2) Basic human wants

3) Personal need;

4) Personal wants

Thank to the folks in IRC the other night, who I did this with- you helped me clarify my question.

I'mma put it all together and make puzzle pieces. If you in London on the 3rd of June and would like to come see the piece, then PM me and I will give you details of where the end of year show is happening.

About the period piece, I've shelved that for the time being. As I'm trying to figure out databases so I can collect all the different bits I need and store it right, so can retrieve what I want easily.

I'd argue that sex comes as part of reproduction, which is really a human need - if we don't reproduce then we die out. And all the animals would probably have a massive party. But anyway, other than that can't argue with Lo's number 1 or 2 at all. I'd also say all humans want to feel safety and comfort too.

As for the personal ones:

3) Personal needs:
Money, companionship, exercise

4) Personal wants:
More interesting job, coffee, avoid exercise wink.gif

1) Basic human needs;
Food, education, love

2) Basic human wants
technology, routines, top-quality basics <Shelter, education, family, ect.>
3) Personal needs
Information, Peace, Companionship (I put this under needs instead of wants because, personally, I would go completely crazy without having someone who cared with me. without that support I'm basically non-functioning, as a basic being or otherwise.) and change. (Also not a want to me - excessive routine-making drives me to the edge, I need change to be a happy (and therefore healthy) person.)

4) Personal wants
A lot of money, Technology (computers, phones, ect.), Leisure time.

Being the narcissist that I am, for some reason it did not occur to me that sex = reproduction, since I don't want kids so for me sex = fun. lol

Yeah. It's getting a bit tiresome frankly.

I suspect some may say I've been a bit rude about how I dealt with this one. Meh. What's the point of donning mod pants if you can't throw your weight around occasionally? wink.gif

For the info of everyone, if you see anything like this on here, just hit the "Report" button, it'll fire off an email to all we mods and we'll deal with it.
