Delicious, delicious guineapigs! Om nom nom! biggrin.gif

I made a few loans this weekend:

http://www.kiva.org/lend/494327 This sounded like a reasonable business plan...
http://www.kiva.org/lend/489164 Healthy pigs are tasty pigs (and easier to sell)
http://www.kiva.org/lend/488344 No particular reason, except I fancied sending money to the Philippines
http://www.kiva.org/lend/490771 More pigs! For sexing! Hurrah!

I love this site.

snoo gave me her credit to throw around the place. So I steered clear of the comestible guinea pigs and went for medical stuff.

I think I must have been refunded a loan that didn't reach the target amount because there was enough in my account for a loan.

http://www.kiva.org/lend/503385 I think someone was playing with instagram.

Just made my first loan. smile.gif

Lent to Custodio because blankets are awesome.

I wish I knew about getting $25 from a sponsor if I signed up under a friend before, though. Oh well.

I thought I'd join in with the instagram team: http://www.kiva.org/lend/503385

And another to this lady: http://www.kiva.org/lend/503079 primarily so I might be able to remember where Tajijistan is in future. Perhaps.

Just checked and saw that Custodio finished raising money, yay! This is a little addictive. I just got a job that I start in two weeks, and I think I'll try to make at least one new loan with every paycheck. I mean, someone has to compete with Mata. tongue.gif

One of my loans just defaulted! Gadzooks! I have lost all of $1.57! biggrin.gif

You know, I think I can handle that. I hope that they managed to get further in life with the loan.

You shall never catch me!

Not while I help the likes of Alfred from Uganda. Who doesn't like loaning money to people called Alfred, eh? http://www.kiva.org/lend/508702
I'm also sending dosh to Daimer Rafael. He looks so happy, and he's named after a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, so life is good. http://www.kiva.org/lend/506851

Got paid early! A loan went out to Sunshine, who wants to buy toys and candy for her business. It was just a lot of happiness in one profile.

Got a little bit of money back from my previous loans, which was relent to Zaki. I think I pick really random reasons for this stuff, but I've been watching a lot of The Office lately, and Oscar really wanted a new photocopier with the surplus money. Instead, Michael got the office new chairs. I figured someone else should get that photocopier.

Cath - she's 38 and had 5 children. Eek! She's saving to send the kids to college... That's going to cost a bit with that many!

I've been a bit lax at relending, so here's a splurge:

http://www.kiva.org/lend/553971 they look awesome
http://www.kiva.org/lend/552537 he's giving a cow oranges. This is a good thing
http://www.kiva.org/lend/551684 she has a lovely coy smile
http://www.kiva.org/lend/551692 ... Just because I fancied sending something to Vietnam
http://www.kiva.org/lend/551704 because his life sounds ridiculously tough and he probably deserves a bit of help.

Woo!

Oh man, I forgot about this.

http://www.kiva.org/lend/552283 because I know how much paying for tuition sucks, after having just paid for my first (and hopefully only) semester.

Three more:

http://www.kiva.org/lend/559441 because he's got an awesome face. Do the photographers even tell the people they're about to take the photo? So many times it looks like the images were snapped halfway through a conversation. Usually it doesn't look like a very convivial conversation either.
http://www.kiva.org/lend/559107 because he's carrying a sheep. Maybe the sheep is tired?

http://www.kiva.org/lend/654435 PIGGIES!

http://www.kiva.org/lend/653312 Yeah... Being able to repair cars while it's raining seems like a reasonable goal in life.

http://www.kiva.org/lend/628334 Not exactly impoverished, as farmers go, but he sounds like a reasonable chap.

I also have been making loans to countries I've not lent to before. So far I've only lent to 36 of 73 possible countries. Gotta catch 'em all!

I am, most recently to http://www.kiva.org/lend/708241 , but a combination of choosing some with very long repayment schedules and not enough money to make several loans at a time means I don't do it often.
