I was watching the news late last night and I was shocked to hear of the death of a famous celebrity.

Their career started in the mid 60's and through the next couple of decades their fame and fortune knew no bounds. It all started to go sour towards the 90's and nobody has heard or seen much of them in many a year, save for the odd picture in those celebrity dross magazines showing off their latest bout of failed plastic surgery.

Yesterday, they passed away. I'm sure you are all with me in prayer for this fallen idol.

RIP Farrah Fawcett.

Oh, and some dude called Michael Jackson died as well.

this could go on in circles for ages, but just as the child molestation accusations, the fact that he bleached his skin wasn't proven either. during a 1993 interview with Oprah, MJ went on about how much the tabloids and their claims had hurt him and adamantly denied any of it - he said that he had a medical condition and took hours a day trying to even his skin out because of the patches it caused. i believe what he had was called..vitiligo? i'm not sure, but we've gone over it in skin class at school many times and it does exist. he also stated in 1993 that yes, he'd had a few things done, so had everybody else in Hollywood. he had a good point with that in my opinion. many stars, even in the 90s, got cosmetic surgery. it was common, more or less, he was just focused on because of his fame. if you want to blame anybody for the downfall of self appreciation and self esteem, michael jackson is certainly not your first pick. thinspiration probably is.

the point of this is, nobody knows any of those things as fact aside from what he confirmed and what was (obviously) photographed. but people harping all the jacko rumors and saying 'screw him, he was crazy' need to understand what kind of public scrutiny he was under. the more the fame, the more insane the rumors. absolutely, it MIGHT be true, but again, it isn't something you or i know as fact. you're better off chalking him up as a troubled human being that passed away before he should have but still had a large impact on music and culture worldwide.
