I'm not sure if my dream last night was strange, since I don't remember any details, but I woke up giggling so hard I couldn't breathe. When moop asked for an explanation, I said, "The Fonz." That's it. Just, "The Fonz."

It made perfect sense at the time. Now...not so much.

Hehe, I have often said things as I've woken up from a dream (or sometimes as I drift off to sleep) - presumably in reference to the dream I just had - but it means nothing to me when I'm reminded of it. Two from last year were: "Kitty-cat meow!" and "Britney's ears".

-

Last night I dreamt about being at a school concert... but a massive, festival-sized, school concert. The main elements of the dream included me being late to arrive, getting lost, having shoulder-length hair, and having to sit with people I either didn't know, or didn't like.

Hehe, I have often said things as I've woken up from a dream (or sometimes as I drift off to sleep) - presumably in reference to the dream I just had - but it means nothing to me when I'm reminded of it. Two from last year were: "Kitty-cat meow!" and "Britney's ears".

I don't do it often, but it does sometimes happen when I haven't had enough sleep. One of mine that I remember was quite similar to yours! I said, "Meow meow...kitty cat!" I also said, "Sneaky Slytherin" one time. I don't remember the dreams that inspired either of those.

Anyway, last night I dreamed that I was in this dungeon thing that was sort of like the film The Cube, only it was run by these demons who were trying to lure everyone to hell. I got separated from moop and my family (my whole family was there, aunts and uncles and cousins and everything) and ended up wandering around with one of moop's cousins, a girl I knew from high school, and snoo.

One of my cousins showed up and was a complete shrew, but I didn't think that was anything out of the ordinary. She's always a shrew. Then, this guy I knew in elementary school and haven't seen since I was 13 ran towards us, waving his arms and screaming, "It's a demon! Don't go with her! That door leads to hell!"

Sooo, the high school friend and I slammed the door in fake cousin's face. Elementary guy and I recognised each other right away, even though he looked a bit like a bald Seth Rogen and was 8 feet tall. The guy I used to know was scrawny and shorter than me. He took us under his wing, since he'd apparently been surviving in that place for years.

Somehow, we ended up in this tourist-y shop that was definitely not in the film. Moop's cousin kept breaking the tacky little figurines and snow globes and such, which really upset me. I knew that if she kept it up she'd anger the demons and be carted off to hell. I figured that the in-laws might get a bit peeved with me if I let that happen. Snoo didn't care, though. She said, "It's her own silly fault if she annoys them. Let them have her."

I kind of wondered if snoo was a demon after that, but then the actual demons showed up. They did this weird counting game in which you had to hold up the correct number of fingers and toes or they'd banish you to hell on the spot, but it didn't make any sense. When they said eleven, the correct response was to hold up thirteen. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why.

That's around the time I woke up.

I don't even care that I'm double-posting. This one was weird. And it involves Matazone!

I barely knew Little Bear back when he frequented the forums. Talked to him in IRC a few times, but only in the main channel. Last night, I dreamed that I was sitting on the toilet, holding a positive pregnancy test and freaking out. My phone kept ringing, but every time I tried to accept the call, I hit the wrong button and got a dial tone. Finally, I managed to answer it. The person on the other end sounded like Polocrunch, but he said, "Hey, it's Owen." Somehow, I knew that meant he was LB (I have no idea what LB's real name is). In the dream, I thought it was perfectly normal that he was ringing me and I was talking to him whilst sitting on the toilet.

Me: "Hey, what's up?"
LB: "I can't sleep. Can you tell me a boring story?"

I walked into the hall, which had changed from the one at my house to that of one of my childhood homes. I wasn't bothered by this, for some reason. I waved at my parents and sisters, who were watching Jurassic Park in the living room, and started pacing back and forth as I tried to think of a story to bore LB into sleeping. I ended up telling him about one of the times my parents decided to quit smoking. I have no idea why I chose this, as it isn't a particularly dull story, but oh well. My sister (who had been transformed back into her sulky, 15-year-old self instead of the 27-year-old she is now) kept shouting at me to shut up or take the phone in another room. I guess she was really into the film.

So I took the phone into this pantry thing that we never had and continued my story until LB started snoring. syuu showed up at that point, dressed as a nurse and babbling about it being time for us to volunteer. We hopped onto a plane in my front yard and went flying off to some country where there were no houses and people lived in landfills (without getting any shots first, hmm. Seems irresponsible, considering I was knocked up!). There were only children in this country, and we had to get to them before they turned evil. If we swabbed their eyes with this smelly yellow bit of cotton, then they'd be fine. If we didn't reach them, then they would catch some disease from the landfill that made their skin melt and sent them on a murdering spree.

I went around the country with syuu, holding children down while she attacked their eyes with the medicine. We wandered away from the landfill and into a rainforest, where we found a kid who lived in the trees. He started laughing at us when we asked him to come down, and then his face began to melt.

That's when I woke up.

I had a dream the other night that was really odd....well I guess that's obvious because of this thread.

So MrFuzzy and I were driving around in his car trying to escape the police, because they had gotten notice that there were two terrorists in the nearby area, a man and a woman who were dressed as hikers. These terrorists had bombs in their hiking gear and were hoping to spread some sort of viral agent to all of the surrounding area. Why the cops thought MrFuzzy and I were these terrorists, I haven't figured out yet because 1) we weren't dressed as hikers and 2) we were in a car, not hiking; so basically the only thing we had going for the description was being a man and a woman together.

Somewhere in this running away I got split up from Fuzzy. I don't know how this happened, because like I said, we were in a car. A strange policewoman, who was younger than me put me in handcuffs and then drugged me so I couldn't move. She took me back to her house, where I was put on a bench with a bunch of pale looking people who had cracking skin (one of which was this guy), who I could only assume at the time, were her collection of zombies. She told me I was going to love my new home and it would be even better as soon as she found Bob, but nobody fit the bill yet. She then insisted that I call her Mama, despite the fact that she was younger than me.

I'm not sure how I managed in my drug induced state, but I think I remember something about me building up a resistance over the years to whatever drug she injected into me, I worked my way off of the bench while she was not looking and hid in the wheat field across the street until she stopped looking for me. When I was fully functional I ran home.

When I got home, I turned into Darla from the TV show Roseanne and I was talking to the woman that played her Aunt Jackie on the show. Jackie had gone into town to try and turn in the strange policewoman for kidnapping me, but got distracted by going into the old music store that I worked for. This music store was for musical instruments. She then told me it was a joke that one of my co-workers tried to sell her an organ (the kind you play) and how bad of a sales person she was. I was happy to rant about that with her and so completely forgave her for not turning in the crazy cop lady.

And that's where I woke up.

Fish, from Ally McBeal! smile.gif

The majority of my recent dreams seem to centre around burglary. A couple of friends were burgled recently, so that'll explain why it's in my mind a little more at the moment. In one dream, I went to assist a friend who had been burgled. When I got back, I'd also been burgled whilst I was gone.

I had one recently where an extremely hot goth girl wanted to have sex with me, but I turned her down because I'm already in a relationship. I'm even monogamous in my dreams!

I had a weird one where my mom went to dinner with the girl I like, and despite being very fond of her in real life, said that we couldn't be friends anymore. But... because my cousin and I put salmon into to weird jolly rancher soup while it was raining, instead of for some actual reason.

We have to start dream journals for psyche. That's going to be fun. >_>

Heh, it IS fun smile.gif Just be aware that once you start recording them, you tend to start remembering them a lot more too.

Assuming, of course, you have a healthy sleep-pattern... wink.gif

I have a sleep pattern... not necessarily a healthy one. =/

I'm sure it'll be fun. I'm just not too psyched (heh) about my teacher reading the wrath of my subconscious. >_>

If we subscribe to the theory that the id surfaces in dreams... well. Suffice it to say I have a lot of sex dreams. However, I'm impressed with myself because lately instead of them being about people I know like usual, my brain is *inventing people*. Surely based on other people/a mishmash of people in my life, but when I wake up, I'm mostly just surprised about how damn CREATIVE I am when I dream. I need to funnel that out in awake-time.

It's not so much strange dreams I'm having more a phantom foot. Since I broke my leg I'll be starting to doze off and the foot on my broken leg will feel as if it's moving in a natural movement which it can't possibly do at the moment. I know it's to do with nerves repairing and stuff but it's still a very strange feeling.

I dreamt I was locked in a warehouse stacked with chaotically stacked crates. The crates were full of hands. The hands, despite having no arms or bodies attached to them, were all alive (CRATES FULL OF LIVING HANDS). The hands were escaping and trying to capture me, and I had to try to escape through the roof.

CRATES FULL OF LIVING HANDS.

*shudder*

As I've learned from another dream. Painting those hands from your dream will not be considered art. Your best friend will not cover up the taking and painting of hands because she's worried what the neighbors might think.

Not my dream but that of a friend of mine. Vividly brought to mind by Mata's crates of hands dream.

I had this dream a few weeks ago but it sprung to mind when I noticed the topic. It started with a woman in labor giving birth to my daughter. I'm not really sure who she was though I think I knew in the dream. Time fast forwards a bit and she's bringing home boys. I threaten off all the boys. Eventually she complains that she'll never be able to have a baby. A wild moop appears. Moop repeatedly attempts to artificially inseminate my unnamed anonymous-mothered teenage daughter. At this point I had started waking up and everything is pretty fuzzy.

I woke up in the middle of the night, sat bolt upright and immediately shook Paul awake for some reason I couldn't remember at the time...

I remembered this morning that I was dreaming about going on a cycling/camping trip and we (there was a whole group of people) were camping on the top of a hill during a full moon and Paul got eaten by a Werewolf... I probably would have been eaten too had I stayed asleep long enough!

I had a really weird one last week. For some reason Laura and I had swapped bodies (this made sense in the dream) while we were swapped she got a tattoo of a big octopus on my right forearm and going down onto the back of my hand. Suffice to say, I was very annoyed when I got my body back. Apparently she asked if I wanted it, but I hadn't heard her, so she assumed I did and went ahead!

I dreamt I was in the comic book shop from The Big Bang Theory (except I didn't realize this until I woke up), but it was really a pawn shop of nerdy things. I bought a white Gameboy SP (instead of the Pikachu one that I wanted, but couldn't afford) and a lot of Pokemon games, while looking for LOTR books (despite already owning them all).

Dunno where that one came from lol.

Okay. Imagine this as a feature film, because that's kind of how it happened in my head while I was asleep.

The people in the insane asylum have to wax the floors with something that makes them crazier so they end up killing themselves. The management knows this but doesn't care. the opera people next door find out but too late so they stage a play about it to tell everyone. The final scene is a bunch of people hanging themselves and singing.

I have this image cemented in my head of a bunch of people hanging from nooses on a stage. My subconscious is thoroughly messed up.

From a couple of nights ago:

I am standing in the kitchen from my childhood home. On the worktop is an opaque cake box. I look inside and see a chunk of Victoria Sponge cake remaining. It's slightly too large to be considered a 'normal' slice but, if split, the two halves would be a little too small. In the end, I eat it all.

I am then in bed, and my mum walks in to tell me off for eating the big piece of cake. I pretend that I am asleep. I wrap myself up in the duvet, and start to pretend that I am stuck. I wiggle around, making it look like I am struggling. Suddenly, I find that I actually have gotten myself tangled up. I keep kicking and pushing my arms out, trying to get free, but nothing works. I desperately try to shout for help but can only manage a slight growl. Nothing will come from my mouth.

And then I woke up to my girlfriend shaking me awake. She'd woken up thinking there was some weird ghost in the room, or some very bad burglars, then realised I was growling in my sleep like some strange possessed person.

My girlfriend has yet to hear me wake myself from a bad dream. I usually end up making some kind of roaring sound and wake most of the house up.

The night before last I had a dream that I was ending a long term relationship with Will.

It's an odd dream in a few ways. One, I'm single and have been for a few years. Two, Will doesn't actually exist.

While living in Fort MacMurray I was mistakenly listed by the Human Resources person as married when she signed me into the computer system. She felt that Fort Mac was a bit too expensive for a person living on her own with my job. So she assumed I was married and entered the data as such. Anyway the paperwork got fixed but I and a few friends had some minor amusement imagining my nonexistent husband. So it was interesting to have Will show up in a dream. Even if it was a sad dream - what with the hurt feelings, harsh words, and loss of friendship.

This one was a bit weird. I was in a feast hall of some sort, and all the important people (the monarchy, so Noc, Z, and for some reason Chris) were standing around some tables, going over the various event activities. Apparently, it was time for a quest, which involved Noc throwing candy all over the place. He told me to help him, which made me feel all important. :3 Anyway, I spent the rest of the dream scattering various assortments of chocolates and flowers all over the floor as people came by to pick them up.

I ended up telling Noc about the dream. "Interesting... I'm not sure I'm happy with the association. Are you implying that I'm a creepy old man again?" Pretty fitting.

Apart from a dream about visiting London with my parents, and discovering London bridge just happened to be around the corner from somewhere I went to all the time, I also dreamt about zombies.

--

I was with a group of friends (although I don't remember any of them looking familiar) in a large house. A huge crowd of zombies are beginning to arrive. One friend shows me a piece of paper, upon which he's drawn his idea for attacking them. It shows all the zombies around the bottom of the house, us all upstairs, and each of us setting fire to a flammable liquid which - for some reason - leaks from the roof of the house. Thus, the zombies become engulfed in flames and die. It is agreed that it's an excellent idea, so we begin to put the plan into action.

At one point I am outside in the garden and need to get back inside. I climb a ladder to a top-floor window, and a particularly large zombie is the first to attack. He starts to climb the ladder as well, but I manage to get through the window and kick the ladder away. Our fire-attack begins.

Later, the house is shown from above, with thousands of zombies surrounding it. We have used up all possible methods of keeping them away. They are not trying to break into the house, just waiting outside, and will continue to do so. Although we are 'safe' inside, we know that eventually we will run out of food or water and have to leave. All we can do is sit and wait...

--

I very very rarely have this kind of dream. My dreams are not usually fantastical, or full of sci-fi creatures, or zombies, or monsters, etc.

I very very rarely have this kind of dream. My dreams are not usually fantastical, or full of sci-fi creatures, or zombies, or monsters, etc.

It's obvious you've been dreaming about this.

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that Fuzzy needed to go tell people something and rather than leaving the bedroom to do it, he walked into the closet.

I was so worried about him not going to the correct place that I actually woke myself up slightly, got out of bed and went to find him. He was quite confused when I walked into the kitchen after he had left me asleep in the bed.
