QUOTE (MistressAlti @ Mar 28 2003, 03:21 PM) Yeah, well, when you're 15 years old and you think that the next 4 years of your life is going to be ruined because of a rampant rumour, you're not thinking "So What?" Stuff like that is what f*cks up kids. It never occurred to me that eventually the rumour would be old news and that everyone would have forgotten it in a few months. Hmmmm... I remember bein that age once (Whaddya mean it were too long ago fer me ta remember???? grrr.....) Yeah, it's a sucky time of life. I wish I'd had the presence of mind then that I do now, I'd have enjoyed me teens a whole lot more... It's a whole lot easier to be bisexual than hetero or homo... Both sexes were made to be attractive, best to love all Gods creation.

Hehe, I'm not bi or gay in the slightest way, but I like that Alex. I have so many friends that are bi/gay/lesbian, and it's so stupid how people think of them because of it.

QUOTE (cheese is funny @ Mar 28 2003, 04:29 AM) ok, i dont think lesbians are all that great... ive met a few at my school... wow, they were mean and crazy(not good crazy... like scary "OMG DONT HURT ME" crazy)... i try to aviod them when possable... just not good company.... Now I am not going to come down on you for saying that.. but...I'm a lesbian... and I am not scary.. or at least I hope not. I don't think you should generalize a entire demographic cause you had a bad run in with a few mean people. That is like saying that all English people are snobs, or all Americans are arseholes..or like saying all straight folks are uptight, narrow minded, homophobic dick heads... it isn't right to type cast or stereotype. And the worst part is you miss out on meeting some really great people. Maybe instead on avoiding them you should try and talk to them. People don't realize this but when you feel like the whole world is against you, you are more apt to bite first. -------------------- Proud Cronie since Feb 26, 2003

I agree. Being pregedist agaisnt someone because they don't like the same sex as you do is just silly. Sadly it's all to apparent in the US. ::sigh:: Why are so many people so closed minded.

It really is sad. I guess I feel it more cause of the town I grew up in. If your not familiar with it North Carolina is not the most open minded state in the US. Raleigh is a lot better them most cities in this state but it still has issues.
I have gone through some tough stuff cause I have never been one to hide who I am. This is a part of me.. I don't carry it like a banner before me and it doesn't consume my life, but I am open that I have a partner and it is woman. So I have faced a lot of homophobic people. But I don't let it get me down.... I see it as there problem and not mine. I don't try to force my sexuality on anyone as long as they don't force there's on me. To me the situations like Mistress Alti when she is being ridiculed for being a lesbian when she wasn't are really unfortunate. That is a really harsh environment. I hung out with a lot of lesbians is High School but at the time I was dating men. When my friends started questioning my sexuality and avoiding me it really hurt my feelings. But in the end it helped me become more open minded cause I knew what homosexuals went through, I understood there pain. When I fell in love with a girl a few years later I knew what to expect. But for some people those experiences can be heart breaking. -------------------- Proud Cronie since Feb 26, 2003

Ravein, you know Enloe? My best friend was the president of their Bi/gay/lesbian club. But I know what you mean. It's really hard in this area to be "different." But thats why we all stick together, strength in numbers

Hehe, money says that's because of the wonderful world of porn. Lesbians have that "hot" motiff goin on. Actually, not so sure that's true. So many of my female friends love to find gay guys for friends.

That is very true.. and very warped.. but that goes into our preconceived notions of what a man should be and a what a woman should be. And how we are unwilling to change our views of these images. It took women hundreds of years to fight our way out of the kitchen...It will take men a thousand to fight there way into it

Hehe, my Dad does the cooking at my house, and he's really good at it. He was a cook for awhile in College I believe. Its funny how being a Cheff (sp?) is a man's job, but females are supposed to cook for the family

QUOTE (ravein @ Mar 28 2003, 10:58 AM) it is hard being a freak in NC.. people dont take well to it. I'm with you on that. I didn't live in North Carolina, but I did live in TN at the north eastern corner, and often times went into North Carolina, because myself and my ex were up for a ride. I found that people in the general area where I lived, didn't truly know what goth was. Maybe that was just me. I got labeled goth girl by all of my co-workers and friends, when truly back here in California with the same look I only look like a skater. People did like me once they got to know me, but were often times freaked out by myself, and my ex, because we were just too "weird looking" for their taste. As for the other things.......It is hard to find people with open minds everywhere.......I live in California now, and I do believe it is one of the most well known States in the US for their libral minded ways and what not, but still closed minds run rampit. I hear gay bashing, racial bashing, any kind of bashing there is here. I must say though, that California is A LOT more open minded than the people I met in TN. I was so glad to come home when I did. -------------------- ![]() Being Pimped By Aries Since 2003 |

I just recently painted my fingernails black for the first time, 2 years after not living at home. (hehe, I'm a guy, for the new people to the boards). It was kinda weird, cause all my friends thought it was so strange, but it made me happy. I would have liked to dress more gothy in HS, but my parents wouldn't go for that I don't think...

hahahah.. you need to meet my group of friends.. there is not a taboo subject...except some really, really sick stuff!
My fondest memory is one of my close friends who is a big ol flaming queen, got married to a woman. He invited us all down to the beach to his new house for a cook out. At the time his wife was 7 months pregnant. Well we get there and here is the biggest queen in the world but now he is married with a kid on the way. So I'm freaking out.. cause the world has suddenly been thrown out of whack. So we walk in to his house and it is sooooooooooo Martha Stewart!! He decorated to crap out of it!!!! It was amazing!! So there is my friend in shorts and a belly shirt with huge rainbow press on eye lashes standing with his wife.. it was so funny! I just felt that all was right in the world.. strange but right. Then he tried to cook on the grill with plastic forks.. the Lesbians had to take over and save the day... then I knew everything was right in the world As for Tenn.. All I have to say is what is up with the word Yens??? Eastren Tenn is full of some crazy mofos!! -------------------- Proud Cronie since Feb 26, 2003

I am not sure either.. it was just weird seeing a fabulous gay man married to a woman.. about to have a kid. But he said that she was man enough to be his woman. So what the hell.. Honestly it was hard to grasp at first...
