I'll be honest, I'm not normally the most awake person in the world. Ive been known to sleep for 16 hours a day and still feel tired. But today I feel not only tired, but energyless, depressed, unmotivated and smelly. Also i know that this feeling will last for the best part of a week now and that I'll feel tired foir no reason until next saturday. Ther is no reason for this post other then the fact that i needed to tell some one this. Thanks.

actually sleeping 16 hours a day might be the source of your problem, really you shouldn't sleep more than 7 or 8 hours a night, thats all you need, and maybe a little exercise, and for anyone about to call me a hypocrite (sp?) do as i say, not as i do, i revel in my sloth like nature tongue.gif

I'm kind of like that.. but not as extreme. Whenever I get out of a class I feel drugged... I'm either really bored or something's wrong. Anywayz, don't worry! I'm sure it will pass. Just think of all the good things about yourself.... like you're a kewl person, to help the depression. The sleep thing... I don't really know cuz that's a medical thing.. and I don't want to give you the wrong medical advice.. ph34r.gif

Drink coffee! Lots of coffee!

And have lots of cold showers to wake you up.

That's what I do, because I gotta stay up till early in the morning, and for some reason, the sleep you get after five AM doesn't count for as much as before. sad.gif

Various things can cause tiredness, but with the other things you're describing too then it could be a dietry thing.

Sleep regular hours, 7-8 hours a night, not much more.

Eat regular meals and try to get more protein in your diet (it really powers the brain during the day but most people hardly have any before dinnertime, by which point it's a bit late really). You can buy protein powder from health food shops.

Drink less alcohol. I don't know if you drink or not, but if you do then try to make sure you don't find yourself drinking 'only' a pint or two a day, it's not good for you, it keeps your energy low and can also make you smell of alcohol even when you're not drinking.

Excercise gives you more energy and makes you feel better about yourself. It's worth a go.
