Thorn: I can tell that my cat is getting old. :/
Rose: She stills seems to know when I need a snuggle. <3 Rose: Ended up showing up to the Dag event for like the last half hour, and it wasn't as bad as I expected. Thorn: I sort of broke up with the boy this morning. Rose: We're going to talk about it tomorrow. (Read: I get to hug him one more time.) Thorn: Just eff it. -------------------- Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. Thorn: Had to say goodbye to my dog yesterday, she's being put down/to sleep today.
Thorn: I can't be there because I have lectures. Thorn: My sleep over the past few days has averaged 3 hours per night. Thorn: Have to finish and deliver several assignments next week and I need a time manipulation device to get stuff done. Thorn: The week after that I have to learn about retakes, create, finish and turn in these retakes. Sigh. Yeah, great weekend. |

Thorn: After being fired due to a sudden change in my job description (having to the drive the van, which would require not only a liscence, but a CDL) without warning. Have been desperately job-searching for two months now.
Rose: Booked an interview today for a very nice clerical/financial job. Thorn: After four years, my relationship ended a few days ago. Rose: We're getting along. Thorn: Due to money shortages and whatnot, we still have to live together. Words cannot describe how awkward/painful this is. Thorn: He decided to invite over one of the only people in the world that I can't stand...and is already trying to get with her. Ouch. Thorn: Having to scrounge money for rent any way I can, it is not fun. Rose: I'll live. Might even get some decent poetry/art out of it. I guess we'll see. -------------------- Her dignity shone so bright like a light on a hill and she burned for me, no other man came near her flame. Bad country songs - the deafening twang of the rich white kid blues. You can own the strange, but the lights and glares will not make you real. |

Rose: Had an alright day at the park today. Was kind of hungover and didn't really feel like fighting, but still had fun.
Rose: Glen (amazingly fantastic fighter) showed up, and will be doing so monthlyish, despite currently living in Ohio or Texas or something. Undecided: Glen has decided to start telling people he's my father. This is somewhat fitting because we're both lefty shieldsmen, look alike, are German, and kick ass. However, a lot of people are intimidated by Glen. He's this 6'4" beast that's completely unrivaled by anyone who isn't a sword knight, and he's a touch arrogant despite being a very sensible and hilarious guy. Basically, Glen is really cool, and he knows it. So, him going around yelling "GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER, SHE'S SEVENTEEN" actually scares people. It's amusing, and he means well with it, but he's terrorizing potential friends. D: Thorn: I miss Will so goddamn much. He's only been gone two days, and has been checking in regularly, but... *sigh* Thorn: Tomorrow's going to suck. That speech I was supposed to do Wednesday? Yeah, opted for a ten point grade drop to do it tomorrow instead. Absolutely no preparations made. I just can't make myself care anymore. :/ Still, I only need a 38. Fairly certain I can manage. Rose: After a nice little engagement with my speech professor, she's changing my grade from a B to an A (that I earned, according to the syllabus, despite anyone's feelings of whether the A should actually be an A.)

Thorn: Had an awful dream last night that left me in a crappy mood for the better part of the day. Boo.
Rose: Went to Amtgard anyway, and was kind of happy that only two people showed up. Meh at one of those people, but the other person was just the person I needed to cheer me up. Rose: No one felt like fighting, so I didn't look like a wuss for being all sore (mostly physically). We just played Pokemon, sparred a bit, and then played various hand games. We're so cool. Undecided: I should start accepting payment for the amount of time I spend watching strangers' kids at playgrounds when they need to run off to the bathroom or car or something. "Will you watch her for just a sec? I'll be right back!" Uhh, sure. (I'm not some weirdo that hangs out at playgrounds. Summertime in Florida is brutal, and the playground at the park where I foam fight is one of the few fully covered areas with enough play space if attendance is low. When we take water breaks, we'll usually wander over to the swings or something. Adults in medieval garb around children. Not weird at all, I promise.) Rose: At least that means I look responsible, lolol. And at least no one has abandoned their offspring with me. Yet. Rose?: There was this one funny moment when this woman left her daughter on the swing next to me while she went to change her baby's diaper. She was seven, and started asking me what I liked to do. After some small talk, she told me that she likes wrestling, and kept trying to convince me to wrestle her. "I don't think that's appropriate. Where did you mom go?" Pleeeeeeeeasseeee!!! "No... Let's do some math instead. Do you know what 1 times 1 is?" Two! "No..." YES IT IS. Wait, I meant three! Rose: Playing two pretty awesome Mafia games atm. Forum Mafia, not that Facebook jazz. Thorn: Frustrated with so many things.
