I have found a way for people to get any colour writing you can possibly have. First you have to get the HTML cade of the colour you want and then instead of typing a colour use the HTML. Example:
Text Coulour Test There are many ways to get HTML codes for colours, such as looking at their properties, and also on some website and programs it will give you the 6 digited code when you are selecting a colour. Kasbah. -------------------- Kasabh.

While this is probably hardly news to any of the more experienced internet-type people, it is true.
It doesn't work with every single colour you can find a hexadecimal code for, there used to be a thread about this actually, finding a weird hex-code and giving the colour a suitable name... we were easily amused. I think if you look closely, it did work actually. Just by typing a random 6 digit code rather than a colour.
Plus I know it isn't a surprise to explerienced people, it's for noobs, if the know how to use the html. -------------------- Kasabh.

Good point, just two thinks. Firstly, it's not html, secondly, it hadn't worked because I checked the post and there was no hex-code, you'd written descriptive words in the colour field.

I know, I changed it because you couldn't see it without looking to see the code, because I put discriptive words instead it didn't change the colour and you couldn't see what I was trying to show.
I couldn't be bothered explaining it, but it is HTML. If it wasn't then it would just show the code you tried to put in instead of changing the colour. -------------------- Kasabh.

Nah, it's BBCode. The forum doesn't allow you to use actual HTML.

And a point I'd like to raise: Keeping a 'necroposted' thread alive by posting the fact that they are necroposting and should not do so. Don't do it. -------------------- The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return -Moulin Rouge

Or, you know, you could try either contributing to the thread or *gasp* ignoring it. If the thread's dead there's nothing to contribute, if it get's ignored it'll keep happening. I don't see how that's preferable.

I have to admit... SPS is right. If it is ignored it will fester and grow, better to get it now than let that happen...

If the thread's dead there's nothing to contribute, if it get's ignored it'll keep happening. I don't see how that's preferable. Threads don't die if people have things to contribute. that's the point. If they were spamming it, fine, but they had valid opinions on the subject. And if it really bothers you that much, you can post in a "live" thread. Not to mention the fact that the Noob thread should never "die," considering we get more members each day. -------------------- The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return -Moulin Rouge

This wasn't the thread I was referring to, it's pinned so it doesn't die, which is why I posted here. Perhaps you could've followed the three links cunningly hidden with in my post? You quoted it, you must've seen them.

some times necroposting is not a bad thing. Think of a novice who looks around, and finds an old, but interesting topic, and reads it, and have a different view, should he not be allowed to express his opinion based solely in the fact that it have been dead for a while?
Im my forums we admins necropost intentionally some posts when we see a significant number of new people have joined in the forum, so they can see what already have been discussed. -------------------- Pupil:Selina
