I know i haven't posted on here in ages, or even much at all in the first place, but i remembered what a bright bunch of people you all are and thought i'd put a question to you just to see if i got any kind of positive response.
How do you rid yourself of a creative block?
Usually, i adore writing, but for about the past 2 and a half months i've been entirely unable to write at length even if the subject is something i'm particularly interested in. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem (not that it's ever happened before), i'd just sit it out and wait for my writing and creativity to flow back (if that's how it works), but i've got my AS Level exams starting in 6 weeks and i'm scared to death that i still won't be writing properly by then and i'll do really badly.
Some people say that the block is because i've fallen in love recently, which i know sounds cheesy and cliched, but is possibly true. However, i've tried asking my boyfriend to stop texting and phoning me for a while to see if i can get any work done, but i just end up getting sad that i'm not talking to him.
Please help. sad.gif

A guy i know invited me to his 18th birthday party today and it has a fancy dress theme of having to go as a film character. Thing is, i'm pretty stuck for influential and cool female roles in films... If all else fails i was thinking of going as a sort of female version of Alex from A Clockwork Orange avec false eyelashes and bowler hat, but perhaps with a slightly more female slant on the white boiler suit.
What do you all think? Any suggestions?

Strict parents suck.
It sounds fickle, petty and immature of me, but i was really looking forward to seeing this guy tonight and now i can't because my parents are strict. Plus, he's in public education so he has tons of curfews and stuff and today was pretty much a one off, consequently i'll be starved of his presense for at least another week and i haven't seen him since last Saturday as it is. He's a new guy too and i've only actually met him the once so he'll probably lose interest pretty quickly now.
Right now i'm just feeling pretty sorry for myself and i didn't really have anywhere else to turn as it's Friday, and predictably, all my friends are out.
Sorry for being such a pathetic little...ninja. ph34r.gif

I intend to present a speech in favour of communism (but still giving examples from the other side of the argument) in the not too distant future, and i was just wondering if any of you lovely people had any particularly interesting information that you wouldn't mind sharing with me for research purposes.
It doesn't especially matter what side of the argument you're on, any relevant information will be infinitely useful to me, but especially that of a more original content, perhaps quizzes, fun statistics and surveys would be extra interesting to a class of 16-19 year olds.
I'm completely new here and any response will come as a bit of a shock, so i thank anyone replying in advance because you are essentially my saviours.
Love, Johanna. XxX
