This took me a while to do and I enjoyed it, so I thought I'd share.

AMD sues Intel

I for one am quiet pleased to see that AMD is taking this action, as a self admitted AMD-fanboy I find myself agreeing with most of the points of the complaint which seems in little doubt as AMD has already won a simalar antitrust complaint against intel in japan.

I'm sick of having to have Intels if I choose to buy Dell.

I remember going into a Tiny shop (I think), whilst studying at Uni, as it had a large sign in the window claiming they sold industry leading computers. and it was a bit of a running joke to go in there and ask for an AMD machine (at the time AMD was head and shoulders ahead) and then watch the sales staff squirm as they tried to tell you the Intel was superiour.

So what do you guys think?

heres what I have now, but it doesn't do quite what I want...

HDD:

What I'd like it to do:

What I have atm:

I have another NP 10uF on order and a space on the board for it to sort the speed of the ramp out, but atm it seems to loose far too much sensitivity, the only way to get it to ramp up at all is continuous HDD usage for 2-3 seconds. Advice?

Supposed to be working at V this weekend but Ididn't get back from work till after 11 last night to get the job finished for the weekend... and fell asleep promptly last night as I got in.. and woke this afternoon at 2pm... (8-hours late)

They haven't phoned to tell me not to go but I was only going to see the Pixies really... and somehow I doubt if i'd be welcomed now anyhoo...

Oh and the office called me (which is what woke me up) to go back to the job from yesterday, which was a complete emergency (aparently) but it was somthing completely unrelated which they wanted me to drive (for free, and on a Saturday) for an hour there and back just to end up pointing out that it was somthing completely unrelated from my previous job (and had the customer not been such a nice guy both during the week, and today when he realised it was nothing to do with me, he would have felt the almighty wrath that is my Saturday Emergency charge.. but he bunged me 20 quid for fuel. So all is well)

Just needed to vent... I'm all good now biggrin.gif
