In the next few days there will be a small period of downtime on the forums. I hope to keep it minimal, no more than 30 minutes, but as we all know these things can go awry. Users of the Matazone Facebook group will receive advanced warning just before the downtime occurs. This is because I'm a terrible person and need to make the time to do stuff, and I tend to get motivated at the strangest times.
Thanks in advance

This is a simple enough game utilising the rather bizarre Google Scribe.
Create a simple 4 line "Poem" by typing in the first two words of each line, then select option 4 from the suggestion list.
You'd be amazed how quickly you can create something that appears, to all intent and purpose, deep and meaningful.
I look forward to your submissions.

After firing through Mata's original webart a few times in the past months, I've drawn the conclusion that it's as valid a form of expression as any other "artistic" medium. This has led me to a) try my own and become less skeptical about the internet's worth as anything more than a communications and entertainment medium. I am aware that both communication and entertainment are part of the messages and function involved in art, but I think the majority will understand what I mean.
http://mrbrick.aparition.net for my attempts at art away from paper et al.
Anyhow, onwards to the topic I wanted to quiz you on..
What, in your opinion, makes an object "art", does it have to carry a meaning or message? Does it have to be a metaphor for life? Can a tank of urine with a dead cow floating in it really be art, or has art merely become another word for shocking and challenging one's outlook on the world?

Donkey in un-risen bread or magical drunken tastyness? Or, indeed, both?

Does anyone else find that, after being awake for 79hours, stairs and cupboard edges leap out at you and frighten you?
That's the second time today I've fallen over for no good reason. To the CoffeeMobile, Batman!
