Ok it's almost 5 am, I haven't slept in days and tonights my first night home with a bed in about a week. Just a warning that this may not make much sense whatsoever or may be a little miscalculated.

I was pondering human nature earlier this week and came to the sudden realization the other night what it is that drives humanity on the whole. Brief backstory: Friend of mines calls up, asking for help with a paper wfor her film class. Naturally I tell her to email me the assignment so I can see what we're dealing with. It's a pretty basic thing but what got my wheels turning was the way the proff. wanted everything kinda broken down and categorized. It hit me like a lightning bolt at that moment, THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE!

My heads kinda foggy lately, but I seem to recall in the book of genesis (talkin bible not sega here) God created Adam, and then told adam to give all that God has created name. Boom right there, it started, since then the species hasn't stopped. When we finished with the generalities we went into specifics, and that all we do now. Once we think we've got everything narrowed down we search for ways to narrow it down more. Even going so far as to categorize our creations. It's not because it's necessary, art doesn't need translation, you can't simply describe red. However we try anyway. Most likely because it's what we were engineered to do. To put things in their order, it explains the basic human compulsion to keep things orderly, and how symmetry is just so damned appealing.

Anyone think I'm on the right track with this? I asked a couple of my friends, they just thought I was on crack dry.gif . I dunno. It's making sense in my head, I just can't explain it. You guys think it's worth developing further?

PS
I just realized how long it's been since I posted, heh now I come back like a ranting loon blink.gif

Okay so I was going through my LJ (livejournal) and came across these little things. Most likely the figment of 3am insomnia. But I figured why not throw them to the woves see what lives . . . it's what i did to my last three kids and look how they turned out . . . okay so I don't have kids. . . .now you know why.

Here goees:

As the sun sets on another day
I stand at the edge of the world
Soothed by sounds of the breaking tide
Finding warmth in the charms of night
The soothing sounds silenced my soul
Laying myself on the damp sands
Immersing my other senses
When I arose my clothes were weighted
But my mind and spirit were the wind.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Through the dark and haze
A radiance did amaze
Classic rhymes do come
As simply as the sun
Flatering words arise
As I gaze in your eyes
Yet I pull the reins
Quick as blood in my viens
Heart just skipped a beat
Dumbfounded in my seat
What power you possess
To make a mind a mess
With your tender smile
And purely ambrosial style
Even now it seems
You've invaded my dreams

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

The Soft subtle summers breeze
Ocean waves wash over me.

Sand in back with stars ahead.
Want the night to never end

In the dark, before the dawn
Birds rehearse their little songs

::I have a thing for couplets lately, i dunno why::

So there they are, my works from the edge of insomnia. Fire at will

Well here I am, my matazone obsession has led me to the boards. How I managed to never ssee the link on the page is beyond me. "What!? There's a forum?! I must be there." So here I am. BTW Please stop by my companies site, Ratpaq Productions check it out. We get no monies or nothin, so no pressure just trying to get our name out there. Yeah that was a lame attempt. See ya on the boards biggrin.gif
