I was wandering around Huddersfield in a daze earlier inbetween my lessons. I hung around a bookshop (Ottakers, they have no fancy Waterstones) for a while, then I asked myself this:

Some guy goes into a bookshop. He browses for a bit and selects a book he likes the look of. He goes to the comfy seating area and reads the entire book cover to cover. He puts the book back on the shelf and walks out.

Through those actions, did he steal the book?

Now, the 'guy' is me most free periods. Today's pick was another work of Robert Rankin (class writer, highly recomended, very funny), though I didn't actually finish the book. But I could have. Or someone else could have. By reading a book and not paying for it, are you stealing?

I was just watching the last Samuri Lapin cartoon, and I was wondering...

1) Where on earth did you get the sound effect of the swords? It sounds like you were clanging knives together or something, but then I tried it and it didn't sound right.

2) Why does Samuri Lapin put on the enemies banner as a kilt-type thing? I mean, it's not like he needs clothes... I think. Looks good though smile.gif

3) Is that a poster of mittens and snowdrop I espy on the wall of his master's bedroom, or am I just losing my eyesight? (I noticed it on the others as well)

Also, have you ever thought about mixing characters in one cartoon? Eg Mr Snaffleburger being forced to market those evil bunnies which keep trying to attack SL's master. Just a thought though, I don't expect you to act on it biggrin.gif

I've got a lot of coursework on, so I won't be around as much. Not that I post that much these days, at any rate tongue.gif .

I find that generally I can crack some joke at an appropriate moment that makes people giggle. But when someone asks me to tell them a joke or say something weird, my mind goes completely blank. I'm also terrible at remembering jokes. Anyone else find this stuff happening to them? And is there some sort of government implant I can buy to make me funnier/smarter/sexier?
