My brother's camera phone is full of pictures of shocking and funny things he's seen while out with friends, and I have a few of my own also. A recent conversation on matazone about twinky-scented lotion leads me to believe that there are extravagant amounts of strange and shocking things out there to talk about!
One of my all-time favorites is a handheld vacuum called the 'Tough Sucker'  Anyone else see anything recently that was worthy of taking a picture of?

I've recently decided that, at some point during my life, I want to open a coffee shop. The only good coffee shops around here are.... well.... Starbucks. My brother wanted to go to some coffee shop with his friends one day and looked in a Zagat and, guess what was there? "Top coffee shops: Starbucks, Caribou" (caribou is west-coast only, methinks....) So, I eventually want to open up a coffee shop, but I want it to be a GOOD coffee shop.... and I need to figure out what makes coffee shops 'good'. Or, what makes them bad, so that I know what to avoid.
So, granted, starbucks does make some pretty good drinks.... But there's also a bad vibe I get from people when I say the word "Starbucks". So, whats wrong with the company? Is it the company or their drinks?

Happy 4th of July!
Anyone doing anything special? So far my plans are to sit around, but I think later today we'll be heading into DC to go to the Folklife Festival and then hang around for the fireworks!

My friend's birthday is coming up, and I got him to write a poem about himself, using song titles.... I thought it would be a really neat idea to get all the songs he used and, to add my own personal touch of what each song reminds me of, add a picture to go with it....
I'm not exactly sure how this would work. All I know is I want the music to play while some pictures pop up. I was thinking maybe making a powerpoint video, with timed slides.... Does anyone have any other ideas? |
