I did this a little while ago, and since it's the first halfway decent thing I've colored in photoshop, I'm kinda proud.


And, in relation to comic strips and whatnot, I officially declared my major today! I am now a Sequential Art major with a double minor in Animation and Storyboarding! Yay comix and toons!

Help Me Make a Decision

I've wanted to make a new AIM sn for a while now, so I made these three but I'm not sure which one I should use!

So, I figured making a poll and getting lots of opinions as to which one is the least crappy would be helpful.

Also, to keep this from being a too-spammy post, what was your first screen name? Or crappiest screen name? (that you remember )

Sudden leaping nervousness

I am leaving for my freshman year of college, and am rather a tad socially inept. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do when I get there, what to do about talking to people without worrying/feeling like I am an idiot. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

I got in!

Everything during the school year was going downhill like hell. My grades were suffering, I only filled out applications to colleges that were close to home and didn't even have what I wanted. I was depressed. And then, one day, something snapped in me (this was the end of April) and I decided I really wanted to study Sequential Art (which is what I have always wanted to study but never thought I would get to, because of my grades -- they were very bad, near failing). I pulled myself together and brought my grades up, and finished my application to Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.

A few weeks after I graduated, I called my high school counselor to find out if he had sent my second letter of recommendation. I could not get a hold of him, and Savannah had said they hadn't gotten it yet. So, I called again the next day, to find out he was gone on vacation and the secretary said she didn't know if he had sent the letter yet.

This past week I went on vacation, deciding I would, when I returned, visit the school everyday until I could get in touch with my counselor and see if he sent the letter.

I got home today, and checked the mailbox, and in it was a bulky package from Savannah.

I opened it, and I screamed after reading the first few sentences.

I have been accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design to study Sequential Art, which for those of you who don't know is basically studying Cartooning/Comic book creation.

I just had to share this with everyone - I am so excited!

And I wasn't sure where to put the thread, whether or not it should go here or Personal Concerns. (If I put it in the wrong forum, I'm sorry! Move it if you need to!)
